I was in Brownsville visiting a friend for a weekend! We were staying in South Padre Island and went up to Brownsville for the day to grab food and shop around! We went for lunch and we ordered the Butterfly Shrimp with fries and salad with thousand island dressing! The service was great and speedy especially during lunch time - that was great to see! The butterfly shrimp had great crunch and flavor which is my ideal combo in a butterfly shrimp platter - love a crunch! Ambiance was very calming and they remodeled the place, it's been an awesome upgrade. I would definitely come back again when I'm back in Brownsville!

Great spot for yummy seafood plates!The batter for the fried shrimp is a little plain, but I think it's a good thing because then I add hot sauce or whatever to my taste. I'd prefer it to be more flavorful, but I think the way it is can appeal to a larger audience which is good for them. Plus people who can't tolerate certain spices can easily eat here! I've also tried the fish tacos and shrimp tacos and enjoyed those. I'm not super big on oysters but the people I've gone with have gotten oysters on the half shell here and loved them! So that's also something to check out when you go here for sure. They're pretty consistent in quality every time I've been and the staff are nice! Good service and good food all around.
